As for Duva, she's just answering questions posed to her. If she got the reputation of refusing interviews, it would hurt her promotional company in the grand scheme of things. And like she said, the figures have already been agreed upon. So Human Sleeping Pill Ward needs to just shut up with his stoo-pidd demands and be the lamb going to the KO slaughter and do it. Be a man for once.

Did you not read the article? Ward keeps acting like a diva going off on how he needs more money as if he's some idol. And here, Duva is commenting on it, saying that's on Ward's promoter. Try to keep up friend.
didn't you say that last time? I say that Ward does not get KO'd..... what are we gonna bet?
What logical reason is there to bet these completely useless points? Is it the 'beat your chest' factor? I see absolutely no reason to play games. I gave my opinion, you gave yours. What is this? Festivus? Like doing feats of strength? Ridiculous.

I think it is you that is not keeping up here. I didn't ask you what the article said or what Duva said I asked you what demand did Ward make. How can Duva speak on Ward wanting more money when there have been no talks between the two camps regarding the rematch. Are you one of those people who just goes by what an article says without reading to see what facts or quotes the article is based on? So I'll ask again. What demand did Ward make. When and from who did he ask for more money?

I guess there's no reason to continue this conversation if you're only going to accept 'official negotiations' conversations about Ward's purse. Because Ward HAS said more than once that he expects to be in the driver's seat and get paid more (he called it something like the 'right amount' or words to that effect) Anyway, we're done here.
The coWard, wants out, plain and simple. He knows what is in store for him. This time there won't be chances for a robbery. Everything has been negotiated, he took a lot of money plus the looted belts the first time and logically he wants no part of Kovalev anymore. He wants to renegotiate a done deal. Ward= a man with no dignity.
Difference: Ward has NEVER and will NEVER do anything much at the box office. True, Floydie's fights drew the crowds mostly by fans wanting to see him lose... but Ward can't even get that bump. He's a boring fighter to watch, just like Floydie was, and can't get a bump anywhere. That's textbook boring. He isn't worth 'legend' paychecks.
Floyd couldn't draw a stick figure before he fought oscar. Even with people wanting him to lose. The same knock existed on Floyd that exists on Ward "great fighter, boring fighter." The fact of the matter is marketing people know something that most of us don't... we use logic and common sense, the psyche is illogical and has death wishes, always thinks about sex and Freudian motiffs. So the reasoning goes: after enough saturation and the right medium one can get an eskimo to buy a fridge!
If Ward had some future guys who could compete with him I would see nothing wrong with losing money on him to get him exposure...but again, hes at the top of the middle weight division and can't go down. Thats a serious problem.
Chavez, even Stevenson in Canada would make money.
Its possible. The problem the marketing has is that after Floyd fought oscar, a lot of the super stars in the middle divisions were past it, but still dangerous.... Floyd never has fought an ATG at prime, but he had plenty of fighters like Sugar Shane, that could still draw a crowd. It is doable...If one really had the mojo they could take some of these guys like pascuel, Stevenson, even Kelly, bring him out of retirement, etc...It would be easy work for Ward, cleanup after fighting guys who really were the best out there for him... but Pavlik for example could be marketed as an underdog seeking a last grasp at the gold ring, looking to catch Andrey with a big punch.
people buy those ideas even while anyone with understanding of the game knows oscar was not beating Floyd, Pavlik would not catch Ward lacking! lol!
