wlad is old and inactive. i will take that into consideration. However if joshua demolishes him i would be very impressed still.

wlad is old and rusty, we dont know how far gone he is at this point

there should have been a tune up for Wlad before facing Joshua

there wasnt, so Joshua will get little credit if he wins

i'll be impressed if he has an easy time with him or if he stops him at all. wladimir is very cautious and knows how to survive.

that said, wladimir is completely done. 40 year old dude who had trouble pulling the trigger in his prime because of his lack of confidence in that chin of his. he literally had trouble pulling the trigger on the jab in the fury fight.

Wlad looked very hesitant against Jennings, and froze against Fury. If he continues that trend against AJ, you can't spin it to create a narrative in which AJ beat a prime Wlad.
Boxing just ends up that way sometimes. Do we use Morales as a strong name on Garcia's resume?. No. Fans need to be mature enough to put these things into perspective.

What is full credit at this point for Wlad? He would be the best guy Joshua beat. IF it is the best guy a guy has beaten they have to get some credit.

Still I feel this as an exceptional spot for Joshua to shine, and I really expect him to given what we have seen of Wlad recently. Wlad can still punch but I can't see him throwing enough right hands and left hooks needed to really keep Joshua off him so unless he can really hurt Joshua with a meager supply of power punches that will dwindle as the fight wears on I have a hard time seeing how Wlad will do well.

Now if Wlad is able to muck it up and Joshua has to really work for it I would probably give him more credit because that would be beyond my expectation of what both men are capable of. I expect Joshua to blitz Wlad though, it comes down to how much credit do you give someone for doing what they are expected to do? Over the long haul in boxing that can be impressive though and this would be a nice building block to start that kind of run.

I'm not sure. Like you said Wlad is shot and gun shy, if AJ does make him look dumb then yes if it's competitive and AJ wins then eh

Wladimir Klitschko is old at age 41 and faded.

If Joshua walks through some of the other YOUNGER top HWs, he deserves credit.

I always give boxers full credit for what they do in the ring. I expect A.J. to KO a well past 40 and well past prime Wlad and I will give him full credit if he wins.I won't give him credit for beating a prime Wlad because he won't be fighting a prime Wlad.

It's a great win if he beats him - whilst Wlad isn't the force he was, he's still probably one of the top 5 in the division even if just because of his ring experience and ring IQ.

Still think AJ gets beat by Fury, Haye, Ortiz. (maybe Wilder but he's still a bit of a mystery like AJ at the moment)

Obviously he could prove me wrong and continue knocking everyone out for fun but I just think he'll turn out to be a modern day Bruno

I think I'll always find a reason to hate on AJ even if he does win. LOL.
