2 things.....Kovalev wasn't "aiming to KO him in the fight they just had? And...he figured Ward out? Is that why the judges had Ward winning the last 6 straight rds?

Kovalev suffered his first robbery by the judges in his fighting history. That is the truth, regardless of what Ward and his fans say. I am eager to watch the rematch though.

Only person that's going to do better is Ward. Kovalev is Kovalev, Ward is multi-layered. In fact, had this been a 15 round match I'm positive Ward would have stopped him. Those body shot were lethal.

Pretty sure it was the other way around. Kovalev had chances early to end the fight or take a big lead on the cards heading into the second half. He didn't and Ward gained confidence and figured out his rhythm and timing and won most of the second half.
I thin in a rematch Ward does much better as he will know the right gameplan going into the fight.
I had the first fight a draw with the knockdown being the difference but Kovalev knew he was unlikely to get a decision and didn't do enough to get a clear victory.

I wouldn't call it a robbery, but I thought Kovalev won. I thought Lara beat Canelo, but I wouldn't call that decision a robbery either! At least Kovalev gets a rematch!
