Comments Thread For: Duva: Kovalev Figured Ward Out, Aims To KO Him in Rematch!

Main Events CEO Kathy Duva, who promotes Sergey Kovalev, is confident that her fighter will return even stronger after suffering his first career defeat last month. At the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Ward (31-0, 15KOs) got off the floor in the second round to win a razor-thin twelve round unanimous decision over Kovalev (30-1-1, 26KOs) to capture the IBF, WBA, WBO light heavyweight titles.

If he figured him out he would've done better in the 2nd half of the fight

          Kovalev won, that's what matters.

And there must be a rematch.

Ward will avoid the rematch. Mark my words. He knows he lost. I actually bet 100 bucks he would win and earned that money but i think he lost.

I just find it damn there criminally negligent, for Kovalev to not have an answer for Ward's inside game. That's been Ward's style forever! How was Kovalev NOT prepared for that!

He did at least initially, he was tying Ward up well but he seemed to get tired from all the wrestling and grappling. Still Ward's inside game was no were near as effective as it normally is.
