This fight means Canelo is no longer the lineal middleweight champion though

Allowing Golovkin-Jacobs to be for the vacant lineage

Some good news if you care about the lineal stuff

How can you make an offer when the clown at K2 first said they would do a catchweight before canelo fought cotto. Then Canelo won and immediately Sanchez, GGG and Loeffler made statements almost weekly saying we won't drop a single pound we won't negotiate weight fight will only hapoen at 160 all while canelo stated he is not a middleweight and didn't care about the belt and that he wouldn't be pressured to move up to 160 for the first time because ggg the b side said so. It was a game of chicken and GGG got ran over when canelo trashed the belt and he lost whatever leverage he thought he had. If he played his b side role like a good little girl and made some concessions he would of fought canelo in 2016 instead he waiting till 2017 and still might not get the fight because now he's too good for 10m pricing himself out the fight.

it ain't bunk when ggg and his team clearly were trying to enforce their mandatory as leverage for negotiations, their plan all along was to use Canelo and his Mexican culture against him and thought that he would never vacate and use that to go to a purse bid to get the 45 ggg don't deserve. When Canelo vacated on their asses, it left them with a belt and no more leverage lol. Boss move is what it was

After Canelo wins this fight I think he should fight Ward at 175 as a legacy fight - it would do a lot more for him than fighting GGG.

I guess they gave the guy more credit than he deserved, cong****. They didnt gain leverage, they lost it dummy. But they bought themselves some time. Hope he moves up so Canelo can call himself champ again
