After watching the Collazo fight Mayweather will Gatti Hatton I am certian of it. Now I see why his team keeps him away from fast slick fighters. Also if you want to see what Mayweather will do to a guy that fights like Hatton watch Floyd in the Jesus Chavez fight. except floyd is going to murder Hatton worse.
If im Hatton I stay away from Floyd and fight Cotto, Castillo, and or Corralles. Maybe fight Mayweather last if you can get through them to setup a big challenge for yourself. But Mayweather Destroys Hatton and I'll put all my points up and never post on Boxingscene again if Floyd doesnt beat Hatton.Comment

There is no way it will ever be0 that easy either way, for a Hatton or Mayweather! The only floor for Hatton is Mayweathers ability to hit and move, He has great foot work. Hatton will beat Cotto and Castillo I am sure of that. But I just cant see a clear winner from the Hatton Vs MayweatherOriginally posted by TheBlackWallStreetAfter watching the Collazo fight Mayweather will Gatti Hatton I am certian of it. I just read an article from another site in which a guy claims "...many observers will now make Pretty Boy an even clearer favourite if and when he meets Hatton." BTW........

Don't get me wrong I think Hatton is a good fighter. Floyd is just all wrong for him and his last fight should have opened everyones eyes to what I've been saying all along. Hatton won't do good against a fast slick fighter (The reason he hasn't fought any). Hatton will always do good against guys with slow hands and power cause he can smother them and take away that advantage. Collazo doesnt even have very quick hand speed but good hand speed and he was landing solid clean rights that were snapping Hattons head around like a bobble doll. Floyd will have a hay day with right hands and uppercuts on this guy. I just dont see why people can't see that. It's clear as day to me.Originally posted by typeoneThere is no way it will ever be0 that easy either way, for a Hatton or Mayweather! Last night's fight was a little taste of reality. Reality being Ricky Hatton is not ready to fight the top two welterweights. As much as Hatton gets hit, he would be talior made for PBF and would be KOed by Margarito. I know there's a lot of Hatton supporters on the site but reality is the big picture of the truth. You could clearly see he was stunned several times in the fight. If not for all the grappling ricky goes down in the 12th aganist a guy not known for his power. I do agree with the fight decision and it could have went either way. "The Hitman's" pressure and stamina is one of his biggest attributes but he did start to fade a bit towards the end of the fight, which gave Collazo the chance to win or in the 12th stop Hatton if not for the smart holding. Ricky needs a at least two more fights at this weight before he can seriously say he's ready for the Mayweathers and Margaritos of the division. As much as Ricky struggle down the stretch of the fight, a rematch with Collazo would make the most sense at this point.Comment

I'm a big Ricky Hatton fan, I've met him on a couple of occasions and last night was the first Hatton fight I've not been to for about three years (I can't get a visa to enter the US). As much as it really pains me to say it - he needs to stay away from PBF. Before last night I thought he would beat Floyd, but now I have to agree with most of the yanks on here. He's got no ****ing chance. PBF would run rings around him, and Hatton's only chance really would be to get lucky with a punch. If it happens I will still bet on Hatton and I will support him to the end, but he looked awful last night and IMO lost the fight.Comment

Mayweather is faster, more intelligent and has 10x the skill of Collazo, the holes mayweather probably saw in Hatton last night would make him a heavy and deserved favorite.
All this talk about Hatton doing to Mayweather what he did to Tszyu, WILL NOT HAPPEN, during clinching Hatton will be broken up, also, unlike Tszyu, PBF can punch inside and outside and doesnt need to 30 feet away just to get off on his punches. Mayweather would likely do what Collazo did, try to create enough space to get off and make sure he hits hatton as hes coming in with effective counter punching.
Also, Mayweather is not easy to hit..at all, unless your Zab Judah (who is extremely fast and highly gifted) your not gonna just easily set up and hit him. Especially when you keep coming in with the same arsenal, Mayweather adjusts DURING fights. Something ive NEVER seen Hatton do.
However, Hatton still has a chance because hes a proven champion whos undefeated.Comment

I agree they will make Mayweather a bigger favorite, and rightly so. Your only as good as your last performance. With that in mind, right now Hatton is'nt great!!!Originally posted by Asian SensationI just read an article from another site in which a guy claims "...many observers will now make Pretty Boy an even clearer favourite if and when he meets Hatton."
