Can you please explain why GGG should move down to 160 when the belt is at 160? Yeah I guess GGG is a bit of a hypocrite but the reason he's willing to move down to 154 for Floyd and Manny is because they are way smaller than Canelo.


Canelo also agreed to move up vs JCC, something he wouldn't do vs GGG...

The belt don't mean shyt this about making a big fight between fighters who don't fight at the same weight. So either move down to get the fight now or stop crying. Fact is even after Canelo threw the belt in the trash he still refused to move in weight and still begging to fight Canelo. Wanted to fight Manny/Floyd who offered no belt. Wanted to fight Chavez and a few others at 168 who brought no belt. GGG can be given every paper belt out there and it won't mean a thing.

Said he would go to 154 or 168 for big fights but killed 2 of the biggest fights he was offered over weight first Ward then Canelo. Tried to put weight demands because he thought a paper belt would help him in negotiations with the A side fighter who has never fought at 160 and it backfired. Canelo and Chavez ARE BOTH willing to get out their comfort zone to make the fight now. GGG wanted ONLY Canelo to fight out his comfort zone. Sorry you don't dictate jack to the A side. Canelo is agreeing to move up BECAUSE Chavez is ALSO moving down. GGG refused to even entertain negotiations between 154 and 160.

GGG is willing to fight SOME guys at 154 depending on the the risk vs reward and SOME guys at 168. Just like Canelo is doing. Difference is Canelo understands the game saw it with Floyd and Cotto and isn't crying about it then doing the same thing to others like GGG.

Canelo was not ready for MW but will take a fight with Chavez Jr. at 165. That is just sad.

The sad thing is that a heap of his countrymen are so blind to it that they will buy the fight.

Best thing for boxing would be for the ghost of Jnr to remain upright for long enough to ko Canelo.

Just careful with what you said because that is a GGG standard too, 168 for Chavez or retired Froch but 164 for Ward, 154 for Mayweather but 160 for Canelo.

Hell i hadn't realized, GGG is worse because he ain't moved a single pound in his whole career, Canelo started as a 140 pounder and is gonna fight a SMW.

Suddenly Brook vs GGG was a good fight for his fans, smh.

Watching GGG force his fans to twist themselves into a pretzel to try and defend his actions is my guilty pleasure. Chavez just a week ago was a great fight for GGG and a dream matchup. But now that it looks like he is fighting Canelo instead it's a terrible fight. When Canelo fights Khan it's a disgrace and GGG would never do something like that because he's not a businessman it ain't about money. Turns around and does worse dragging a welterweight up to 160 in a fight to earn a little more money in a fight so bad that one of his belts refused to sanction it. When he offers guys like Saunders, Eubank, Jacobs a flat fee and these fighters say I am worth more these guys are just ducking him by overpricing themselves. But Canelo offers GGG 10mil 2-3X his career payday and he says he is worth more but that's not ducking right? Double standards to excuse this idiot for not having better promoter who can actually make big fights for him.

Canelo is happy to fight someone at a 165 limit when the fighter is B level (chavez), but hes not ready to fight at 160 against someone hes scared of. Dont see how you can defend that. Makes his crap about needing to adjust to 160 look ridiculous when hes gone straight in to compete against someone who will be 165

Why should GGG move down to Canelo weight? Clearly making 160 is not an issue for Canelo if he's willing to take on JCC at 165.

1) Canelo agreed to 160, now Golovkin wants more money

2) Golovkin said " anyone from 154-168 " for FOUR YEARS

3) Golovkin specifically mentioned fighting Canelo at 154

4) Canelo is a big A-side in that equation

5) the belt is a weak excuse, because Golovkin still refused to negotiate on the weight after Canelo vacated

6) because it would be a HUGE payday for Golovkin

7) because it would be HUGE exposure for Golovkin

8) because Golovkin could finally get some of the critics off his back
