FFS. First of all Chavez ain't making 165. And Canelo!! What can I say. He must need to put on a hood and a mask to go out at night - the ****in embarrassment he should feel for even talk about these weight limits after the BS with GGG - I'm not really a MW. ****bag.

In the ring, Chavez will be about 190 and Alvarez will be about 180. I think it'll be fine size-wise, but Canelo will light Jr up. The good thing about Chavez is can take a beating and maybe stay remotely competitive.
Golovkin might get screwed again here, with Canelo & Jr having a rematch in September. The promotion's going to huge in May, with Oscar & Sr going at it, the Mexican media eating it up, and it being an all action fight unlike Canelo/Cotto (Zzzzzzz).
Good news for Golovkin however is that Canelo will be stripped of the lineal MW title for failing to fight at MW for over 1 year (last MW fight was vs Khan).Comment

not strange at all kind of like GGG saying he is willing to fight at 154 against Floyd or Manny but then refusing to do the same for Canelo. Or like GGG saying he will fight Chavez at 168 but not Ward. GGG for 5 years said he's ready for 154 or 168 but killed the 2 biggest fights possible because he refused to go to either weight for Canelo and Ward.
GGG phuked himself by refusing to come down in weight for Canelo, refusing to make any weight concessions. BOTH canelo and chavez making weight concessions both will be out of their comfort zone to make a fight happen between 2 fighters who don't fight at the same weight. Either both guys give on weight to make a fight happen now or if you the B side you sit and wait till the A side is comfortable at your weight.Comment

Things like this wouldn't be a problem if fighters simply said they were chasing big money fights instead of belts or credibility. That goes for canelo and ggg. Just be honest.Comment

Real talk no difference then what Floyd and Manny have done in the past getting fights with guys much bigger then them. they agree on a catchweight to make a fight possible where the bigger guy has to come down but on fight night those guys came in at a comfortable weight well below the limit. Canelo will come in a few pounds above his normal weight but well below the contract catchweight limit. Both fighters will be out of their comfort zone so I got no problem with this. GGG fanboys crying because their fighter has crap promoters who can't make a big fight with anyone and Canelo about to steal their "dream" fight opponent.LOL, the butt hurt is strong in this thread. Also the so called disgraceful 10mil offer that GGG has turned down AT HIS BEST weight no less, according to reports Chavez is willing to fight for HALF that. Because of the rivalry and real bad blood that has existed for years this fight probably does more PPV sales then Canelo/GGG, Golden Boy and Canelo will make more money because they will be paying Chavez less.Comment
