The issue now seems to be that Ward wants even more money than the first fight.

According to Duva, the splits for a rematch have been negotiated since before the first fight and both signed a contract to abide by. It comes down to Ward convincing his own promoter that he deserves more money which I dont see how he can justify.

He got the lion share of the purse because Roc Nation supplemented Ward's purse, not because Duva hooked him up

What Ward is saying now is that he doesn't want Roc Nation to pay him out of pocket. He actually wants the lion share of the purse this time, as the winner.

Ward did not get the lion share of the purse. Don't get caught up in that.

Roc Nation supplemented Ward's purse out of their pocket. What Ward is saying now is, as the winner, Roc Nation shouldn't have to supplement is pay, but that Ward should actually get the lion share of the purse.

It ultimately comes down to what the rematch clause actually says. If any of these Kovalev fans that accuse Ward of ducking can post the actual rematch clause, that will silence a lot of inquiring minds.

But they can't; they can only emotionally yell accusatory statements without any facts or proof to back it up.

So you admit that Ward didn't get the lion's share, but it was Roc Nation that supplemented Ward's pay? What Ward is saying now is that, as the winner, he actually wants the lion's share and not Roc Nation supplementing his pay out of pocket.

Secondly, again, we don't know what the rematch contractual agreement states. Can you provide it?

I really don't care what they make. I just want to see good fights. I'm none of their financial advisors, not do I get a divided check off what they make. I have heard Ward is difficult to negotiate with. Hopefully they have the rematch, and Ward doesn't take a "I'm taking my ball, and going home" attitude about things

Ward knows boxing. He knows it well. Been around the game for a good while. With that said... He knows deep inside he lost that fight. He didn't dominate although he calls it a close fight he knows it wasn't easy. Most boxers with the exception of truly great fighters only wanna rematch fighters they feel they can beat again.
Ward doesn't feel that because he doesn't feel the first time was easy and he knows Kovalev has an L now and has really nothing to lose but the fight. Hes gonna be even more dangerous than he was before. Ward knows if does lose his win that Most people are not giving him credit for now will look like a fluke gift win and it will diminish his win over Kovalev.

I can understand that as I don't get paid anything out of their pocket either I'm just a spectator. But to be fair, Ward gets the short end of the stick on here so it's only right to set the record straight if I see misinformation.

But I definitely want to see the best fights available as well starting with GGG vs Jacobs. I just watched an interview by Sanchez the other day and he was saying how they couldn't fight someone because it didn't make business sense.

Can you explain how Ward got the short end of the stick in their first fight?

Rock nation had to come out of pocket to pay Ward because he wanted more than the fight itself was worth or else he wasn't going to fight. The fight did 160k buys which proved that paying Ward what he wanted wasn't feasible and reason why RNS had to pay the difference to satisfy Ward.

Ward is an excellent boxer but he has to realize his monetary value and come to terms with the fact that he's not a draw.
