Casuals aren't watching Russell and Beterbev in tune-ups. It's not clear what you're going on about but if you're trying to say that hardcore fans sometimes bash on Ward too, then ok, sure. I never said that hardcore fans don't bash him.

I'm saying that casuals don't boo Andre Ward; the only folks who seem to **** on Andre Ward are the folks who shat on Pernell Whitaker for not standing still and get beat on, shat on Floyd Mayweather for boxing the ears off of Manny Pacquiao (and seemingly found a way to completely absolve Pacquiao of his **** performance), and are currently spending their every breath sucking the soul out of Golovkin;s **** for knocking over fighters who will never get anywhere near being considered for any sort of Hall of Fame (sans maybe Kell Brook at 147/154 and Daniel Geale in Australia).

Most observers saw Kovalev-Ward as a hotly contested fight; the only folks talking that robbery bull**** are the hardcore clowns/some in the media who went into the fight hoping that "The Krusher" would be launched into stardom by knocking off America's last male Olympic boxing gold medalist.
