This fight being on PPV does beg the question that had GGG-Jacobs already been made for March 18 on PPV, would HBO have still accepted this Cotto fight or would they have passed like they did with Pac-Vargas so as not to have 2 PPVs only 2 weeks apart?

they had no choice but to pass on the pac fight. was part of the deal for the kovalev fight that they wouldn't do another PPV two weeks before or two weeks after.

if GGG ends up on PPV, it'll be three weeks apart, not two, and it'll also be in a different month, and therefore for most people, in a different billing cycle.

selling two PPVs in the same billing cycle is very very difficult.
