Lol this stuff just writes itself. After fighting at 155 for so long, Canelo says 160 weight was no problem against GGG. He says he wants to get acclimated to 160 first despite weighing in in the 170s pound range and instead fights at 154 instead. Now we might see him skip 160 and fight at 164 first.
that is absolutely normal
you guys are totally clueless about weight
fixating on rehydration weight is where you are going wrong
and I suspect that is the reason why a lot of posters ran around stating that Canelo was a middleweight..... oh, until Canelo exposed that myth by winning a JMW title at 154
forget about rehydration weight..... the total amount of functional muscle-mass and conditioning that you can take into a fight is determined at the official weigh-in..... NOT 1 day later LMAO..... water-weight will not help in that regard, and can even be detrimental
each division has a range, within that range there are smaller guys and there are bigger guys..... so fkn what? boxing has always worked that way, even before same-day weigh-ins.....
.....today, they ALL re-hydrate, some more than others..... again, so fkn what?
..... if you can make 154, and stay healthy for 12 rounds, then you are a JMW..... regardless as to your fight-night/rehydration weight.....
..... so, you likely don't even realize that Canelo will be stronger at 160..... well, he will be..... count on that.Comment
