Loma vs Rigondeaux
GGG vs Canelo
Ward vs Kovalev rematch
Crawford vs Broner
Charlo Twins vs The Watson Twins
none of those fights NEED to happen:
-Loma and Rigo will likely never agree on weight; Rigo is an aging bantamweight fighter fight out of division at 122, while Loma is a 130lb titlist who will likely end up capping out at 140lbs.
-Golovkin is likely never going to accept the money that Alvarez is willing to offer for the fight; his camp has already turned down $10m+ and they've gone to the press with talk about wanting a Mayweather-Pacquiao type split (putting Golovkin's camp at a feeler figure of 35%-40%, when Alvarez, as A-side of an event, has never given an opponent even 15% of the take).
-I have doubts that Kathy Duva is going to let Roc Nation call the shots on the rematch; with a structure no different than with the first fight (Main Events sharing an accountable take on the final numbers with Roc Nation), I see Roc Nation writing Main Events a check that gets Kovalev ~$4m, with Roc Nation controlling the event [Picking the venue, handing out the media credentials, making deals to their liking for the international TV rights, setting the event sponsors the way that they'd prefer etc].
-Terrence Crawford is unllikely to be willing to defend his WBC/WBO 140lb belts on an About Billions Promotions fight card; skill for skill, Crawford is clearly that guy, but Adrien Broner is the clear-cut money fighter at the weight and he knows that. Whether the fight is PPV or not is going to come down to the interest from the broadcasters (HBO and Showtime are likely both in the mix, as Crawford isn't signed to HBO, even if that it Arum's preferred broadcaster), but Broner isn't going to Omaha and, unless MGM Resorts lays out some serious money to host the fight, I doubt that Broner ends up with much interest in leaving Cincinatti. Pride gets in the way on that one, imo.
