I must admit, I didn't expect Hatton to win..

I had seen clips of Collazo, and thought he had enough tools to outscore Hatton hugely or stop him (and with him being naturally bigger, and a southpaw). You see, I don't think Hatton is anywhere near the fighter he has been in years gone by. I haven't seen tonights fight yet, but I thought he looked absolutely horrible against Tszyu and Maussa (compared to his former self).

Read the four posts below if you don't believe that I predicted Collazo win:

For me, Hatton needs to start fighting more regularly again. He's 28 years old so he's already years past his physical peak, and he's only fighting twice a year! And he's blowing up to 190+ between fights! It really is no wonder that his skills have eroded so badly, and physically I don't think it's possible now for him to get all his speed and skills back.

He needs to go back down to 140 though and start fighting more regularly again, because he's not getting any younger and his style suits being younger and fresher than he is.

Talk to me about the fight, because I can't visualise how Ricky could of possibly outscored Collazo if Collazo was in the form I saw him in while Hatton being blown-up, rusty and in no form whatsoever.

    hatton wasnt kidding.....

hatton wasnt kidding when se said southpaws gave him trouble, when i was watching the fight all i could think about is how judah would probly school his ass, simplest reasons being judah faster than callazo, judah hits harder than callazo, judah is a much well rounded boxer, hattons promotion team would have to be crazy to put him in against another southpaw...

Yea, man he lost his hunger after the 3rd/4th round he stop being the monster/tazmanian devil he was in the past. He gave the dude too much respect and became too nice. But you know what this isnt' the first nor the last fixed fight we'll see.

Hatton was like Mayorga...just your blue collar boy taking his personality to the bigger stage. He drinks beer with his buddies at the pub...walks around like a regular mother****er. I started laughing when he won though lol...Whatever man...I like the look on the face of Collazo when he lost haha... Hang loose bruddah!

Well, he's not exactly in the best of form if he didn't perform well tonight (and I certainly didn't expect him to perform well tonight).

It's THREE YEARS since the Tackie fight, may I point out. He hasn't really shown that kind of form since. Even the Ray Oliveira fight was two years ago now! It's not looking good for Hatton, fight more regularly please Ricky for crying out loud, and stay away from 147..

hatton still got in on callazo,no matter what hattons gonna come in on his opponent that just his style, but some of those shots that callazo through tonight hurt hatton and if judah was to land the same he would be on his ass cuz lets face it callozo couldnt crack and egg.....but i dont know hatton just looked like he didnt know what to do especially rounds 4-7 just looked confused fighting a southpaw...

Hell yea he won. i really dont understand how u can see this fight any other way. Everybody who judged the fight had Hatton winning. It was a great fight, real close, but Hatton was the clear victor. He just has to readjust, take on gatti after improving, and THEN prove himself to the states. He completely misjudged this fighter and wieght class and wasnt himself at all.
