if this is true i hope he does it, even if that means no rematch with kovalev. no ward in boxing is greater good than the rematch.

yeah good riddance. he wont be missed thats for sure, wont be talked about by anyone in 10 years time. I'd rather see kovalev v stevenson, or kovalev v beterbiev rather than the rematch. Most people thought kovalev won so theres nothing to prove and the fight didnt exactly deliver fireworks

Seemed pretty obvious too me his hearts not in boxing with his inactivity and weak opposition over the past few years, he had to take the kovalev fight in order to get interest for his previous fights.
He is not retired right now.So STFU b1tch

He will never be considered a HOF fighter. Arturo GATTI (RIP) would turn in his grave if this man get in.

It strengthens his bargaining position. He will be back, on his own terms.

Wouldn't even notice him being gone. Not like he fights often anyway.

It would be good for the sport of boxing if the extremely selfish, privileged prima donna did retire.

He's a man without honor. He needs corrupt officials - he has to use illegal tactics to survive, then the judges give him the win.

Ward is a great fighter, and has accomplished a lot, and if he leaves the sport, no one will give a flying **** because the boxing world is done with these safety first fighters.

Promoters and networks need to drop all of these kinds of fighters.

I won't tune in to watch any fighter who I know won't go for the kill.
