And I'll absolutely go on record saying that both fighters should honor the outcome of the purse bid. I don't want to see either side vacate the belt. I'm a fan of fights, not politics and financial BS. I don't want to hear, "Oh, I'm a HBO fighter" if Haymon wins the bid. And I don't want to hear, "Oh, the money ain't right" if K2 wins the bid. I want to see the damn fight! I don't care whether it's at MSG or Barclay's (or the Walmart parking lot). I don't care whether it's on HBO or Showtime (or TeleMundo). I want to see leather being thrown by the two best MWs in the world today. I don't want to hear "GGG got exposed", or "Jacobs was a cab driver". These two are the two best MWs in the world, and all I want is to see a fight.

Is that good enough as being "on the record"?
We can disagree all day long about definitions and interpretations.

But I respect the hell out of this take, have no problem giving props for it being more than "good enough" and resoundingly agree with you.

No matter what happens, to say what we have seen out of Golovkin with our own two eyes isn't special would be hypocritical. He has all the signs of being an all time fighter. And even some of the best ones ever have a loss or three so that "he was exposed" crap would likely be hateration.

Folks think I hate Lil g.

All I really hate is him not being as great as I think he can be.

Ikr, people act like GGG is some gigantic MW. He's actually one of the smallest fighters in the division. At the top anyways

Lara doesn't care about the fans, and doesn't care about entertaining people. He knows people spend $50+ for a PPV, and he's happy with just skating by, no matter how boring it is.

He should move up in my book, but especially after the Jacobs debacle - without blaming either side - I don't see him in any hurry to get into another round of negotiations with a Haymon fighter. Besides which with the Jack / Degale / Mundo triangle unlikely to be resolved before the end of 2017 and Groves mandated to fight Fedor, there ain't really all that many good options unless you're talking about 175. Zurdo perhaps?

That said Jermall ain't gonna be smaller than GGG fighting at MW. Like many of the top JMWs he comes to the ring at 170+ already. And the 5 career MWs thing is just plain wrong. Be hard to find any resume without a few guys who've moved up at some point and GGGs ain't out of the ordinary in this respect.

I agree. There is something special about the guy for sure. It's not just pure power without ring IQ. It's one reason I really want to see the Jacobs fight I think it would show a lot of people just how good GGG is. (Of course, I can already hear the "Pirog doe..." comments coming) And I would like to see him in there with the best in the division. At the same time, there isn't but so much money to spread around when you only do "97K" PPV units. The money just isn't there for guys like BJS to want $5M or whatever.

But yeah, I want to see him and Jacobs ****. No excuses, no politics, no financial BS. Just gloves in action

Look at GGG wrists, forearms compared to Charlo. He has far greater bone density. He is naturally the bigger man.

Sure he could eat his way bigger doesn't mean he should or it'd be beneficial in anyway, shape or form.

People say GGG is small but he isn't he has big wrists, forearms and a wide back. He's a decent sized MW and well proportioned.
Foerarms are all genetics. Charlos is taller has a 3 inch heigh advantage and has a reach advantage. The two things that matter most in boxing. On top of that, he weighs the same if not more than ggg fight night.

Lol funny how this thread turned from ggg vs charlo to ggg should move up waaaaa whhaaaaaaaaaaaaa. If ggg gets any good fights at 160 the first thing those turds mention is 168. Even though they've already been talking bout him facing degale or ramirez at 168 if things go south.

yeah doesnt shock me, i should have known it would before i bothered to make the thread. These guys circle nsb constantly until they get an opportunity to let people know that they believe golovkin needs to go up in weight. As if we didnt quite get that message on the hundreds of other posts that they put saying the same **** over and over again.

Cool either way, he can fight Lara and Andrade then at 154. If not when he gets to 160 I hope he's still about fighting the best guys.

He weighed 158, Golovkin weighs 170 in the ring.
