If Parker looked like a punching bag, then what did Ruiz look like?

Agree though, not very impressive for Parker, but then again, Ruiz is an undefeated ranked fighter.

Parker won a close fight, but he needs to leave Kevin Barry. Has shown zero improvement in 2 years.

I also think the game plan was wrong. Parker has huge power and should've been trying to knock Ruiz out. He barely threw a right hand this whole fight.

Parker has all the physical gifts but no brain. Simply does not know when to punch.

Ruiz has a shelf life of about 3-4 years due to his morbid obesity.

        Pretty disappointing.

Prime Wlad would have put either of these guys to sleep in a few rounds. Definitely not an upgrade.

Close fight. Parker can't compete with the top HW's.

          Ruiz is a fat LHW.

I know we expect the home guy to get the decision, but why is Ruiz expected to put in 200% effort to win while Parker doesn't?
If he even edged enough rounds(which he did) he should win, that's it.

I have no doubt Joshua would knocked Parker into next year and before the fight I thought it could have gone either way.

A champ who wont fight, avoids any action. Parker survived... all night. He dulled out the house so bad, a DJ had to call for some noise. Arum sold Andy out.

Parker did a whole lot of nothing I would have been happy with a draw but Ruiz chased him all night and landed the harder punches, but he didn't let his hands go as much as he should of so I guess that's what cost him in the end.

Parker held a lot and never landed more than a punch at a time he was constantly on the move and barely landed anything meaningful

I had Ruiz edging it but he should have sold out more.

agreed, the game plan was totally wrong, and i knew it when barry said before the fight that they were going to fight on the backfoot.

He needed to fight on the inside and gain ruiz's respect, and then walk Ruiz down.

Barry needs to go. JDJ or someone would be great.
