Andre Ward says, a Sergey Kovalev rematch must make sense first. What does that mean?

Saw that interview and I didn't like what he was saying..... he has to get back in there with Kovalev and leave no doubt this time. I get them not liking Duva's team but it's not an excuse to make negotiations more complicated than they need to be.

Holy ****, Andre Ward's about to break another contract!!!!

He's going Goosen all over again. ME is going to have to sue him for millions and all the damn titles Kovalev unified are going to get stripped and Haymon's guys are going to get them and sit on them.

Good o'l SOG, making the world a better place.

i don't get it. duva was willing to wait and gave ward 2 tuneups for big money before making the fight, and then gave him the much bigger purse and the fight on home soil with home judges and ref who allowed holding all fight. no other promoter would give him that much for the simple fact that he's not even popular or worth it. they went out of their way to accomodate his b-itch ass and he won't even fight a rematch knowing most people thoguht he lost. entitled guy wins again. the story of the year.

Man Andre Ward will never be a HOF or ATG fighter if he doesnt fight kovalev. Imagine if barrera didnt give morales a rematch, PAC -JMM, RJJ-Tarver, Pryor -arguello.

Ward is a B1tch. Ward is a FLOYD
Lol, Andre Ward is already guaranteed to be in the HOF.

It sure sounds like Ward won't ever rematch him. I think there is a rematch clause in the contract so making sense should have nothing to do with it. Kovalev damn sure wants the rematch. If no rematch happens it's because Ward didn't want it to happen.

lol don't be mad kids, SOG is telling the truth. He won, he has the belts and he was the a side last time. He's a man before he's a spectacle for you folks and he has to make decisions that benefit his long term well being. Kov will probably get a rematch, but if showtime is willing to break the bank for his services why wouldn't he leave. This is a perfect storm no tv contract, newly crowned champ, new promotional company. Challengers don't make demands they await responses

Ward means that the business must be right.

You know the same business that Golovkin has applied for the past 3 years

What's wrong with Ward saying, "Let's fight again as long as the business is right"?

You have no problem when Team GGG has applied their business acumen for the last 3+ years?

It wouldn't be the first time Ward shelves himself to avoid competition.
