Roach just explained the difference in a CW or a dehydration clause , Roach is very good at playing the weight game .

You tell me which is the bigger handicap , a 152 CW and he can rehydrate to 170 or more , or 154 and a clause where Canelo cannot weigh more than 164 fight night .

Lol Roach is up to his old drain them tricks only this time its in reverse , if you can cap a guy from fully rehydrating its going to effect him big time , those 6-8 pounds not there on fight night would sap him like a sponge .

Canelo is definitely bigger than Margs. Margs was still at 147 for much of his prime. Canelo was immediately 154 after teenage years basically. Margs also was the same size as Cotto. Canelo was way bigger.

Yeah you're probably right. I was just thinking too, Canelo is waaayyyy thicker and more stout than Margarito. Margarito was a lot more tall than he was thick. Canelo's like a middleweight mack truck.

Yes he does thats why he wants a rehydration clause , because if they can have Canelo at 164 Manny will box his ears off , Roach is throwing out a bait that will be swallowed up by causals as sounding a fair deal , its suicide for Canelo and Canelo will not fall for it , so Roach gets good publicity by naming all the big names but with all these weight clauses attached .

Yeah but if they were ever to actually put this fight together...they'd have to do something along those lines. I get what you're saying but what's Manny supposed to do, Manny goes into fights in the mid 140's on fight night, meanwhile Canelo goes in the neighborhood of 180.

That would be a light heavyweight going in there against a welter, and a small welter at that

Canelo would completely wreck Pac and there is no need for it.

A prime Pac struggled with the size and power of an average Margarito, Canelo is much bigger than Margarito, much stronger, hits FAR harder and is a tremendous fighter on top of it.

Never mind the current version, not even a prime Pac could beat Canelo now.

Canelo came in @ 152 for Floyd, so 152 should be good for Manny! We know this won't happen, but it's interesting to note the concern Roach has for Manny facing Crawford! I think he knows that a) They won't make a ton of money, and b) They'll probably lose! If you're gonna lose, might as well make big money! I think Pac should fight Khan or Brook in the UK!

Canelo made that mistake once and looked terrible, he won't kill himself on the scales again.

This would have to take place at 154 and it would be a mismatch. There is no need for this fight to happen outside of Arum/Roach looking for a cash grab.
