Comments Thread For: Jackson: Kovalev Was 5-1 After Six, Was 3-3 With Ward in Last Six

John David Jackson, the trainer for Sergey Kovalev (30-1-1, 26KOs), is still very confident his boxing defeated Andre Ward (31-0, 15KOs) by a margin of 8 rounds to 4 last month at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.

      Ward: 3, 5, 7, 8, 9, 11, 12

      Kovalev: 1, 2, 4, 6, 10

rounds 10 and 11 were hard to score.

close fight, no robbery. could have gone either way. anyone that scored it with pen and paper would agree.

Kovalev won all first six on my card, 10, 11, and 12. 9-3 Kovalev. He might have won 8 too but between 5 and 8, those could go either way so you give one to Ward.

                Kovalev leary won the fight
He obviously didnt get credit for his short rt hands inside and rt uppercuts that snapped wards head when he would step in.

                Add in a knockdown

I agree with the first six but not the 3-3 in the second part of the fight, had it like 4-2 in favour of Ward but Kovalev won the fight as a whole.
