I get all the rules, my only point is, and again I repeat. GGG is once again involved in fight negotiations and it is very likely the fight is not going to happen. So, since you and I are on this topic now, if/when jacobs vacates, would you consider that ducking GGG? Curious to know your stance on that

I would definitely consider it a duck, for several reasons

1. He is the mandatory challenger. He should be pushing FOR this fight instead of acting like he is doing everybody some big favor by fighting

2. there is no contractural roadblock that would prevent his participation, such as an exclusive network deal, or anything of the sort.

If Jacobs doesn't want to fight GGG at all, this whole negotiation is a waste of time because it's not gonna happen regardless.

If Jacobs was the super champion, he would have a lot to lose, but he isn't. Losing a kiddie version of the WBA means nothing. Not fighting GGG while keeping the Kiddie WBA belt would be as equally embarrassing as vacating while not fighting GGG. It's the fact that he would duck GGG, not the Kiddie WBA belt that matters in fan's perspective.

None of this explains why it makes sense for GGG to put everything on hold for Jacobs. Jacobs is not a highly coveted fighter. Jacobs is not popular. Jacobs has never been in a fight that has had more than 600k viewers in ratings. GGG is losing money by skipping a third fight this year for Jacobs alone in April.

The only explanation is that GGG is now a two fight per year fighter by choice.

He's the best name at Mw aside from Canelo fwiw, at least in the states. Probably #2 Mw on ability. It's worth doing what you can to make it happen. Better one Jacobs than Heiland + Tureano. And it'd give Ggg extra leverage vs Canelo flat fee offer.

I really wonder about your sincerity on this subject. The Jacobs fight was never close to being made till now that the mando was ordered. Must be a coincidence. It may well fall through. It's worth a solid try.

Fair enough I respect your stance although I disagree. GGG and his team will more than likely use their leverage and jacobs will vacate, another non GGG fight. GGG isnt doing himself any favors as he is close to 35 yrs old now. He claims he fights for the fans and his legacy but money always seems to be TG he reason he doesn't fight, and us fans just let it go. Well most of us, I like GGG just don't like the way he is managed, GGG could have fought Ward and canelo already. Shame on them

Coupled with the fact that he'd become an instant sporting star in the US if he won and command potentially massive purses as a result, his attitude makes no sense whatsoever
