    Everything.

Wilder has limited amateur experience and little as a pro when that was filmed.

Don't go all dumb on me now.

You cant be a top fighter in any sport and lack skill . Skill sets may be different and change but this era has the biggest fighters all around physically and as someone stated having the attributes with speed and power and implementing them on your oppositionis what counts more not who looks more flashier . Im not sure where the myth came from ,because looking at even guys like Breazeale a 6'7 250 pounder ,whats easy about fighting that guy? How many guys right now could go grab any type of boxing medal let alone olympic one? Once again you fools shoot your own sport in the foot .

Honestly skill don't mean much at heavy.. it helps but..

The key is can u hit hard and can u take a punch..

Wilder n Joshua n haye all got or have had belts with suspect skills.. but they hit ****ing hard..

Wilder may have novice skills but his power is an equalizer in any fight.. all he had to do is land flush once to change a fight

wilder is 6'7" and fast, so he made it to the top. you're absolutely right to say he boxes like a novice when you compare him to great HW, or even great contemporary boxers in the weight classes.

that said, boxing skills become less of a factor and your chin, size, and power become more of a factor at HW. these guys aren't close enough to need a ton of head and foot movement. they couldn't put on moves all night like a welterweight, either. you need to save your gas tank for taking and landing the bombs.

some of it has to do with talent. for instance, wilder was a prospect for collegiate football and basketball. he happens to also be the most talented american HW. is that a coincidence, or are there other, more talented guys playing football and basketball righ tnow?

the average guy in the nba is 6'9" tall. taller than wladimir by several inches. average guy in the nfl is about 260 lbs and 6'3", last i checked. where did all of the talented american big men go?

Joshua seems to be improving with every fight. When he started he looked like proper sht. Still pushes his right hand (not as bad as before though) and is cumbersome but he's come a ways, and his counter game is getting better. So yea, improving.

Boxing is about making it work, sometimes it looks smooth sometimes it looks funky. People just always need to keep that in mind when they are too stuck on one way of looking at things.
Yeah that's why I say the proof is in the pudding. Wilder may not always pass the eye test, but he jobs your face off then knocks your arse out. That's plenty of HW skill..LOL
