IF McGregor truly had boxing skills Dana would have no problem with putting his "Face of the company" in a One on One situation. (White comes from a boxing background & knows that Connor would be badly embarrassed & his brand would take a hit)

I find this Conor rebelion against the UFC a great move for the sport. Dana White has way too much power, and it's time they make some changes. I understand that a fighter of the caliber of Conor wants more control and I think he should have it. Instead of being the ***** of Dana White who can just sit at home and watch these fighters beat eachother up.

True but Conor's just one guy. He's very important to the company, but the UFC has shown again and again that they won't bend to the will of any fighter. That's why this doesn't seem to be a great negotiating strategy for Conor. As a matter of principle the company won't give an inch on breach of contract.

edit: If Conor really wants to do some good for the sport then he should throw his weight behind the fighters' union. That's the only way the fighters get some real leverage.
