once chavez stopped being able to make MW and have an insurmountable size advantage he ceased to have any chance at remaining a contender.

you all forget that this is a guy who absolutely bodied andy lee because of his size alone, and looked like a legit cruiserweight in there. i've seen andy lee fight live. he was not a small guy.

it's almost certain that he was using drugs to cut weight and put it back on safely in 30 hours. if he wants to get back to the roots that allowed him to have any measure of success he'll need to murder himself to get back down to 160 lbs, get carried onto the scales, and hope he's not dry as a bone in 30 hours when he fights a guy half his size.

chavez jr's career is proof that boxing is a business, not a sport. that guy was on hbo and even ppv for years. he and canelo would have been one of the biggest fights of the year.

I could have sworn Andy Lee was up on the scorecards before the KO

Soft Chavez Jr's roots are weeds grown in sand & easy pull out

Soft Chavez's roots are soft and shallow almost in water like sea weeds floating on top of a cess pool weak and pulled out easily. Chavez Jr. offers boxing NOTHING but a good laugh and the shaking of mex heads as sombreros and bandannas fall off quickly. Roots on Chavez Jr. Now what a fricking HOOT.

chavez wasn't hard to hit. what he lacked in defense on that night he made up for with his ridiculous size. he just walked forward to andy lee and put him on the ropes like the cruiserweight he was. and after a few rounds you could see how the fight was going to end up. one guy clearly had an advantage in physical size and chin. lee even talked about it at the end of the fight.

Jr. got into boxing cashing on his famous father name. He has always taken it easy being spoiled. He could have achieved better results having had more discipline and dedication; however, he spent many years as a party animal missing training while drinking and smoking pot. It is hard to believe that he finally has come to his senses and he is determined and serious this time. We will know for sure after this Saturday.
