I think that because Kovalev was fighting Ward, the fans would've gotten up for that fight as opposed to Kovalev vs Chilemba which let's face it, that would be a hard sell anywhere

It's possible, but to see your hometown guy fight when he hasn't fought at home in a long time and then having issues selling tickets, idk.
