Casuals didn't care about Ward-Kovalev, they didn't care about Lomachenko-Walters. They cared about Canelo-Khan and Golovkin-Brook
    Im all for it
If khan gets to fight Joshua then it's all good

None of these were either competitive or entertaining.

I think we need these fighters in the ring much more often, mismatch or not. Twice a year for even up and comers is getting to be ridiculous. I like watching top guys fight other top guys, but damn. It's cool and then afterward, it's like, I guess I'll see them again in 6-8 months. Really disappointing.

At the same time, mismatches do give fans something to watch in the mean time and they give opportunities to guys who often aren't getting them elsewhere. Where would Rocky Balboa be without them? Haha.

Those two fights caught the attention because they were well known fighters.

yeah you're right, but both Golovkin and Canelo wanted to fight in December but Canelo got injured and Golovkin couldn't get negotations done with his opponent

True, but like you say, I'd rather see GGG squash another weak opponent than nothing.
