Gosh i feel sorry for your boxing knowledge...No offence, people that live in glass house shouldn't throw stones, Wilder is a HW with a belt who went on a F-level 30-0 odd fights before he fought one person with credit (Bernie S), it took him 30 odd fights do so.

AJ has only 17 fights.....17 and even at that his resume isn't that far off Wilder, that for me is irony. I don't even care for all that stuff about large following of boxing in the UK, that has nothing on the resume/irony of the whole thing. Wilder resume at 17-0 or even at 25-0 would be Z-level if we have to compare them.
It would be irony if Wilder were making a comparison between himself and Joshua. He doesn't. He doesn't even knock Joshua...he just says that his opponents have been D level and that he wouldn't be as popular in the US as he is in the UK.

I wish Emmanuel Steward could have train Wilder. Wilder has the power, but a terrible technique.

We are the ones making the comparison because they fought in the same weight class, Wilder is not a commentator so I can't excuse not comparing their respective resume. If Max Kellerman comes out and try to downplay Larry Merchant for example we would compare their respective careers.... hence the irony in Wilder at 37-0 calling someone at 17-0 level d opposition, Not that I disagree with his opinion, it just laughable to think Wilder whose 37-0 Z-level like 33/34 of those opponents would say something silly like that.

He has a point though. Wilder can't really say much as his resume isn't really much better but he's right in the sense that Joshua wouldn't be big in USA with the resume he has.

I find it incredible he can do so many PPV buys without even beating a live opponent, but fair play, if they can get people to pay to watch then they're doing something right in the marketing him.

That's because he won gold at the olympics at HW, Khan got the same for winning silver at 17, Audley Harrison got the same treatment... why is that a shock?
