Anything would have been better than quiting, except from taking an ovbious dive. He knew he could not handle anything that Lomachenko brought to the table and that´s logical as Loma is a future HOF with insaine skills. He quit before taking unecesary damage, wich was smart but fans dont like that. In boxing, your fans "love you" but want to see you get hurt... I hope he bounces back with some good wins, the sport needs exiting fighters.

First of all, his greed made him take long layoff unnecessarily. He was clearly unhappy and took the fight only to screw Arum, ie, take the cash and a dive. He probably even thought of signing up with uncle Haymon, but held back when he heard about the many fighters in that camp that have been on the shelf for extended periods of time. Leaving uncle Bob could be worse.

Seems like every report is saying Walters was dominated from start to finish. Like I say, I couldn't split them after the first 4 rounds. I often feel like I've watched a different fight to a lot of these boxing hacks.

Love to see him fight Rigondeaux at 126, or Mickey Garcia at 135.

Walters is kind of in an odd situation. On one hand, he's a 'name' in that his name is well known, so a good scalp for anyone to have on their way up (eg a Tevin Farmer).

On the other hand, he's also a potentially very dangerous opponent to take on, so likely to be avoided.

Only opponent I can see him getting are those who don't have many other options.

Axeman is gonna need a lot of shovels to get out of this hole.

too right, one bad night at the office and everyones making out its career over, like **** it is. Guy demolished donaire and beat some other good fighters, just ran out of ideas against an amazing fighter in lomachenko, am sure he regrets what he did but **** happens, learn and move on. IN boxing you are pretty much only as good as your last fight, if he puts in a great performance in his next fight its pretty much all forgotten about. Ortiz jacked the fight against maidana but then was a hero after he went to war with berto. Boxing fans are dumb and have short memories.
