I don't think McGregor can pass because he doesn't have a Canelo, De La Hoya, and Pacquiao.

Like most MMA fighters, he'll lose eventually and his shine will come down.

I know he lost to Diaz he but he somewhat redeemed himself in the rematch so he didn't take much of a loss to his "aura"

Its not even something you can directly compare cuz while Conor does have room to grow MMA lifespans are shorter & different than boxing lifespans. In boxing once you're famous your famous to some extent. Meanwhile Anthony Pettis who made it onto the Wheaties box one year is mostly doing co-main events the next year. MMA is unforgiving & the caliber of opposition you fight is higher & riskier.
