Anyone who can slip a jab beats Pulev, IMO. He has no inside game. Moreover, he doesn't have the abilities that Wlad has to tie people up and wrestle the energy out of them when they do get inside. That said, his jab is very good so it's not that easy to slip it.
I would back Takam, Ruiz, Povetkin, Parker etc to get inside and beat him up.Comment

Yeah I'm pretty sure Hearn didn't make a legitimate offer as he won't to any heavyweight who's legitimately top 15, which Pulev is.
With that said, I don't actually think Pulev is much of a threat to Joshua. He doesn't have much power, and if you watch how he performed against Klitschko, he doesn't have any ability to beat people when his jab and reach isn't a massive advantage. He ate hook counters all night long and Joshua is a pretty decent counter puncher.Comment

There is no doubt Peter hurt his right arm during that last exchange at the end of the 3rd round. He retired in his corner. I certainly hope Pulev & his team don't take much out of this fight because Peter was 271lbs & was sucking wind by the 2nd round. He also got in quite a few shots both to the head & body. Pulev is too easy to hit. When Peter was in the 240s he could go 12 rounds. It's too bad Peter has been so inactive the last 5 or 6 years because he use to be a good heavyweight. After Jameel McCline battered him & got robbed of a title win he was never the same. McCline dropped him 3 times & he had a lot of trouble with the height & reach of Jameel. Then Vitali kicked his ass & that was pretty much it. A few big paydays & he pretty much stopped training hard after that. Chambers, Wladimir & Helenius all scores wins over him & he disappeared. I don't think Pulev has the power to keep the big punchers at bay & he takes way too many shots. His defence is weak. The title of this article is pretty inaccurate. It was an injury that ended the fight not Pulev battering him. I just watched the fight & was pretty surprised Peter actually threw a lot more punches than I expected for a guy as inactive & as heavy as he was. Wilder, Fury, Joshua all beat him. I think Povetkin could beat him as well. Pulev's lack of power & defence will catch up to him like it did against Klitschko.Comment

he went from 297 to 261. I wouldnt say he was in great shape but after the 261 fight there was optimism he could get down to 245-255 for a meaningful fight but he showed up at 271. He needed more fights before taking on a top HW like Pulev. Although Pulev made it look harder than it should have been.wow that was depressing, what a disgraceful mismatch, samuel clearly didnt even train, looked like a fat old toad wildly throwing his arms in the air and lunging around.
smh. pulev turned down millions to fight AJ to fight the corpse of peter.

Pulev takes his time always has, what's new ? He's methodical, hits hard and gets the job done. Wilder won't ever face him so I'm not sure why you'd bring his name up, Fury wanted none either.
Pulev is conditioned and fights hard for 12 rounds, he's as strong as a bull and applies unrelenting pressure from the get go, I saw Szpilka winning on the cards against Wilder and the dude had no previous amateur experience and here you are telling me Wilder has no problems with Pulev ? Laughable. Pulev has a glittering amateur record, although failing to compete at the Olympics.Comment
