I agree 100% with the Bobfather. The UFC model has remained in tact but I always questioned what will happen when one fighter becomes bigger than the sport.

We are really about to find out if the PPV buys and sell out crowds are because of the UFC brand itself or Conor McGregor individually.

100%. Porter's Five Forces - Power of Suppliers. There's more than one route to the big fights in boxing, so fighters have more room to decide who's rules they bend to. Not really the case in MMA. There are alternatives but none of them touch the UFC.

For sure. I think it's a daft thing to celebrate anyway. Boxing has 100 years of deep cultural history in the US. That's why it can still do big events. The UFC has no history and can't match that, yet. It's catching up fast.

When the biggest promotion of all time in may vs Pac cant even afford a proper undercard then you know things are being run wrong.

Man shut up and stop riding ufc so hard. If its that good beat it and become a ufc fan.
You sound ****** the undercard featured two of the biggest fighters in boxing now. Vasyl Lomanchenko and Leo Santa Cruz. And their opponents combined record was 43-6. So you really just talking out your ass. I bet Leo and Vasyl got paid better than most ufc fighters that night also. May weather Canelo had 3 title fights and the main even was a super fight. When was the last super tight from ufc? They didn't make Jon Jones vs Silva or GSP.. Can't be mad because boxers get paid more because it is the more prestigious sport.

Ufc was in debt for the longest just like how all the rumors from pbc you heard the same rumors about ufc. They had to sell or they were going under the water.

            Yeah that undercard was amazing

Lomachenko wasnt one of the best fighters in the world at that point and his opponent was awful. Same with LSC. Christ if thats a good undercard for the most financially successful PPV of all time then you are very easily pleased.

Mayweather vs Canelo card was awesome. They havent done it since. Most likely because it was too expensive. Because the top boxers earn too much. Which is my point.

McGregor gets close to 10 -15 mil for that MSG fight. His exclusive ppv deal and the show money totals what Ward made in his last 5 fights.

For the Diaz fight I'm pretty sure Conor made 10 also.

Arum wants to sign Conor, Conor should meet with Arum, Arum already signed Conlan the irish boxing star.

The thing is Conor needs HBO, if Arum can sign Conor and mend his relationship with HBO, Conor = billion dollar man.

Arum is correct you can build Conor at entry level first, he will still draw, his debut will draw, and his next fight will draw, he doesnt need a superstar right now, his name is that big.

If he knocks out some journey men his aura will only get bigger he will adjust back to his boxing, his unorthodox style will give fighters problem, he will dominate 147 and 154.

He couldnt make 145 healthy but 147 the few extra pounds will help him.

Sorry but conor is not getting 10 million lol he is just using the mayweather tactic of hype, he probably got tops 3 million for that fight. Dana White actually paid Ronda Rousey and Lesnar more than McGregor, this why Conor is mad he is the hardest working fighter the company has and is underpaid.

UFC cannot pay a single fighter 10 to 15 million a fight, their company will go under, they house 300 fighters, and fund all their promotional.

They would take a loss, Conor knows he isnt getting paid its why he is always trying to leverage, he said he wanted a portion of the company, he knows he isnt getting paid that much.

Look where he lives, he lives in a small home in Irealand its nice but no mansion, and he rents his cars, when he is in Cali he rents a beach front condo in manhattan beach, and in Vegas UFC rents him a home.

If he jumps to boxing, he would really get paid, and you will know it because if he had 15 million or more he would be living in a mansion for real not a condo.

If Conner fights at entry level in boxing his game is over , people will see that this guy cannot compete with top boxers and that will be the end of that , if he is going to fight a top guy like Floyd he is going for the money when he loses he goes back to what he knows in UFC with a bundle of money .

Conner dont want a boxing career Bob , he wants the hype pay of one big fight .
