Since a lot of cowardly american frauds have started using "survival mode tactics" to win fights, viewers are tuning out in their droves.

    UFC curbstomped boxing this year

Casual fans who tuned in to mayweather and ward fights labelled boxing "pathetic" and "for *******"

Should the game be updated to reward courage and engagement. To save the sport from the cowardly frauds?
    Yes they do.

1.enforce the clinching rule. 1 clinch gets a warning ,2nd clinch is a point deduction .

    2.make rings for fighters 160 and below 16×16 .

    3.make a 13th rd

    4. Open scoring

    5.knock downs count as a 2 point deduction .
    For example , 1 knockdown earns a 10-7 round .

      referee should enforce the rules.

its like the usa immigration situation. illegal immigration is against the law, yet anyone who takes part in it get treated like they didn't do anything wrong, and , in fact, rewarded.

the rules don't need to change.

the people enforcing the rules need to follow the letter of the law

For decades before March 2015 all we had was basically ESPN's Friday night fights, the odd CBS broadcast, and fights on the Mexican stations like Telemundo and Unimas.

It is going to take time to turn this around. Time that would be better spent not getting sued.
I think a big part of the problem is PBC didn't get the ratings they hoped for, they even have said that in their disposition and now don't have the war chest to put on that many shows. With them destroying FNF which didn't need to be a time buy that has really cut into the amount of boxing we get. We still have 2 Unimas shows a month, 2 Estrella TV shows a month, Telemundo and Azteca have always been sporadic. Now we have 2 Bein shows a month that are put on by Zanfer and don't forget the 2 or so CBS Sports shows a month put on by Greg Cohen and Roy Jones Jr. There are still cards but I think the big loss is no more FNF.

An older Muhammad Ali clinched, so did Bernard Hopkins, so did Floyd Mayweather, who is the biggest draw in the history of PPV.

Not being on TV creates distance between fans and fighters. Fans need to be able to follow these guys and hear their stories, tragedies, successes etc. . .on Sportscenter every night like they do with NFL, NBA, and UFC athletes.

Don King & Bob Arum killed the sport by taking it away from the public. No other sport could survive that. MMA's on TV EVERYDAY.

Also, just make the best fights and get rid of so many belts.

          It's just that simple folks.

Butthurt stans mad that Mayweather or Ward beat your favorite puncher by using defensive tactics that have been used for generations need to go away.

It'd be like banning the San Antonio Spurs for being boring or something. Guess what?

Some great athletes are boring as **** to watch. Tim Duncan was one of them, should the NBA have taken away the things he did well? No. Just learn how to watch greatness and stop being children who need constant action in order to be entertained.

That's why MMA is popular. It's all you ADD ass kids who need to take your medication.

yes sir! and once boxing went off tv, public at large were left with a litany of poor results (such as Tyson/Seldon) that left poor taste in casuals' mouths

Dude, holding in boxing is just like holding in football. They could call it constantly if they wanted to.

Technically, it's illegal, but it happens so much that a certain amount of holding is allowed.

I don't know why y'all act like this just happened. Ali was tying up Foreman in '74 to gas him out.
