You think people should win rounds by throwing and missing?

Workrate and aggression doesn't mean **** if you aren't landing.

Better than winning rounds by not even throwing

The fighters can have a shadow box off to win the round. They stand in the middle of the ring throwing punches as fast they can whoever throws the most = higher workrate and wins.

Boxing is good, and it will get even better.

More and more, coaches are teaching the art of slickness.

Soon there will be one hundred new Floyd Mayweathers entering the pro game.

Boxing is pretty simple hit and don't get hit. Should fighters be rewarded for running around the ring swinging and missing? **** NO. That's achieving nothing, that's ineffective aggression.

Hit and not get hit. Not hug and not get hit.

In every boxing rules there's excessive clinching is a foul, but it's rarely applied, when the fighter doing it has the money behind.

Boxing itself doesn't need to change.

IMO, it needs more high quality trainers and more guys who are good at managing ON fight night.

What folks complain about the most these days, I see as corner issues, not ref issues.

The only change I would make is in judging.

I'd require boxing judges to have the same professional standard as officials from other main sports.

What is it about this place that is a magnet for people who read things that weren't written?

I swear, if I said the sky was blue, you'd think I said the moon was pink, and larry had credibility.

Once boxing went to a PPV model, it killed the sport.

An older Muhammad Ali clinched, so did Bernard Hopkins, so did Floyd Mayweather, who is the biggest draw in the history of PPV.

Not being on TV creates distance between fans and fighters. Fans need to be able to follow these guys and hear their stories, tragedies, successes etc. . .on Sportscenter every night like they do with NFL, NBA, and UFC athletes.

Don King & Bob Arum killed the sport by taking it away from the public. No other sport could survive that. MMA's on TV EVERYDAY.

Also, just make the best fights and get rid of so many belts.

                    It's just that simple folks.

Butthurt stans mad that Mayweather or Ward beat your favorite puncher by using defensive tactics that have been used for generations need to go away.

It'd be like banning the San Antonio Spurs for being boring or something. Guess what?

Some great athletes are boring as **** to watch. Tim Duncan was one of them, should the NBA have taken away the things he did well? No. Just learn how to watch greatness and stop being children who need constant action in order to be entertained.

That's why MMA is popular. It's all you ADD ass kids who need to take your medication.

Every sport is changing rules to encourage entertainment. Boxing's rules are in essence trying to cater to entertainment too, except there's been a deliberate misinterpretation to favour people who exploit the holes in the rules to game it and it's usually done to favour money. Clinching is clearly outlawed, yet we see it happen all the time with impunity....leading with your head is basically a deliberate headbutt, and yet it happens all the time with impunity. Sometimes the rules already exist and they are ignored, sometimes there's an area of interpretation they use to justify whatever the system wants to happen....it's not an accident.

Clean effective punching is the be all end all measure of boxing, and it gives meaning to the other criteria...which shows you the rules really do favour entertainment, but the holes have been exploited and it needs to be addressed. The way people find ways to discredit aggressors and give credit to spoiling and fouling as defense and ring generalship is head scratching.

And that's only about fouls but fighters/promoters choosing ring size is fu(king idiotic. why not have set standard sizes based on weightclasses, like they do with gloves? that would be my first rule change to favour entertainment 16 ft ring from middleweight and below. 18 ft above. And gloves should be under a strict standard of minimum requirements for distribution of padding on top of the weight. If you want a clear indication of how much of a joke the sport is, you just need look at Mayweather refusing to let Maidana use his NSAC approved gloves and paying him off......it's like letting Brady pay off the other team to let him use his deflated balls.
