Golovkin is bigger than Mcgregor, stronger, Mcgregor stands no chance whatsoever in the stand-up, and he'd got tossed around like a doll in a clinch by Golovkin in a street fight. A street fight isn't controlled, you're not trying to outbox anyone, people seem to have this ****** idea that a boxer would come out like he would in a boxing fight, he wouldn't, straight for the knockout, you're filled with rage in a street fight, you're controlled in a sanctioned bout.

BTW. Mayorga won his MMA debut, it was changed into a NC because he knee'd the guy in the spine whilst he was going for an arm-bar. Apparently things got too real in there.
he'd come out swinging and then get taken down, thats what would happen lol. I have serious doubts that GGG doing a bit of wrestling as a hobby or as a fitness drill in camp would mean he could deal with mcgregor, cant beleive im getting stick off of people for saying something 99 percent of people outside of this forum would agree with lol. Mayorga also outweighed his opponent by 20 lbs and was losing, just the mma fighter wasnt ****** enough to deliberately foul and get dq'd

You know you can poke eyes, bite, headbutt, pull hair in street fight, grab the groin, etc. All these things are illegal in MMA to make it easier for the grappler. In a street fight the guy who can throw down usually wins.

Let's say Conor McGreggor doesn't know GGG and sees him in a street fight, do you think Conor will go to grapple with him or punch with if he doesn't know GGG is a boxer?

Again, stop comparing MMA to streetfighting. Boxers won't fight like boxers and MMA fighters won't have MMA rules to help them out when their grappling gets them in trouble.
its cause in a street fight, there isnt usually a world class martial artist involved. I think im basically done on this thread lol, if people have read what i said and still think a boxer somehow beats an mma fighter (mma is far far more of a relevant skillset to a streetfight then boxing) then im done.

This is dumb, in the street you really don't want to be on the ground, somebody will smash your skull from behind and there is nowhere you can defend that. Dumb dumb dumb

In a street fight i would probably go with a MMA fighter, problem is boxing is an art whilst MMA is just a street fight. Not saying a boxer can't or wouldn't win but a boxer would have to do things that is out of his discipline. Whilst a MMA fighter would be right up his/her street.

If they had 10 fights Connor would win the majority, GGG would literally have a punchers chance. The moment he is taken down its over.

Sometimes I'm a little stunned by how ignorant people on this forum are. I'm not saying MMA is not a good thing to have in the streets, it's good just to prepare you for those scenerio's where you do find yourself on the ground(BJJ), so it's good for an all round decent defense, but make no mistake, in a street fight, striking is king, the stand-up is 90% the determining factor. An MMA fighter is a mix martial artist, not a wrestler only, they aren't going to shoot for a takedown all the time or right off the bat, unless they have no choice or that's there style, especially in the street.
You only need enough grappling to have a common sense on how to defend a take down, wided your stance etc and then wail away at the back of the guys head or w/e. Hell, you can knock a guy out from the bottom. Mcgregor sucks at grappling though anyway, he's made his career fighting 5'6 midgets whilst still getting tagged clean in the chin, Golovkin's striking is light years ahead of Mcgregor, and this is a street fight not a bout where guys have 3-4 months to prepare for a style "oh he's a boxer, better work on my tackle", no, Mcgregor is smaller, weaker, Golovkin only needs the tad bit of wrestling experience (if the situation even arises) to not be completely confused and manhandle the smaller Mcgregor who's grappling sucks and who has a glass chin. One of those jabs that Golovkin hit Brook with while bulldozing forward would knock Conor into next week.

And you can check the MMA forums, they seem to have more respect for boxing than the supposed boxing fans on here. Most agree boxing(striking hands) is the biggest determining factor in a street fighting, the only use for MMA is that it prepares you for those situations where you don't want to be but might end up. Boxers have a streak and reputation on the street for making near damn careers knocking people the *** out. If it's between a boxer and a grappler and we followed their careers in street fighting, the wrestler would have more losses, stomped on the head, self-knockout from bashing his head on the concrete etc. Striking is king. and Mcgregor's kicks would just aide in putting him off balance to where his glass chin is getting rained on by a storm of orbital bashing fury from a bigger individual

And in the end it all comes down to the caliber of the fighter, Golovkin is a much better fighter, and a much more powerful fighter, than Conor Mcgregor.

It appears many of you have never watched MMA or have any idea just how easy it would be for McGregor to take GGG down and choke him out, rip his shoulder out or break his leg.

I'm not talking likely, I'm talking 100% this would happen to GGG. The only way it doesn't is if Conor wanted to stand with him, GGG has absolutely no say in how it unfolds.

CM Punk (despite 2 years of MMA training and coming from pro wrestling) was taken down by a rookie in under 5 seconds and was crushed on the mat.

Now as ill prepared CM Punk was he'd still choke GGG out. A level of opponent the calibre of Conor is not required for GGG to be destroyed, in the same way that Conor doesn't need to find a boxer of Floyd's ability to be utterly found out in the ring.
