Enough talk let's do a rematch it should do great business and Kovalev has the right to be ticked off about the decision. But hell how many bad decisions do we see in boxing. Kovalev needed to capitalise on that knockdown and Ward really did 'wake up' and control the fight from the 6th onwards.

Which is funny to me because leading up to the fight JDJ swore Kovalev could fight inside and Ward had no inside game.

Kovalev and his team thought Ward would be like the rest of the fighters they fought. After they feel Kovalev's power then the opponent goes into survival mode for the rest of the fight. Ward did the opposite and Kovalev wasn't ready for it.

“Ward can be taken out early, if Sergey lands cleanly early on then Ward is gone,” said Jackson. “If he manages to get back up, he will still be hurt and is now a sitting duck. Once Sergey smells blood, he will go for the knockout. Reports say he’s going to stand and fight and go to Sergey’s body and we want that, he will leave himself wide open for counter punching.”

So Ward and his team told everyone what they were planning on doing and yet Kovalev couldn't do anything about it? Sure sounds like he couldn't make the adjustment.
