I meant Sosa. Who cares? Sosa is a better fighter than Matthysse.

i x out those donaire & vic wins seeing as though they were moving up at a much higher weight and were completely done. little to no credit is giving to those wins on my part.

lets talk sosa......officially walters didn't beat sosa (although i had him winning) it was a tough fight for walters. and what makes sosa better then lucas who had just beat up Provodnikov & molina at the time?

Molina is not much better than a journeyman and Provodnikov always loses to anyone with just a little bit boxing ability. Sosa defeated Fortuna and gave Walters a hard fight. Those two reasons make him superior to Lucas "i hurt my eye!" Matthysse...

Not too bad. There's reasonable arguments for Crawford, Golovkin, and Loma to be fighting for position.
Golovkin consistently dominates, but against poor opposition.
Loma looks stellar, but has a legit loss not too long ago.
Crawford looks great, is undefeated, and has beaten a couple decent names. But, it feels like we need to see just a little more for him to clearly be above the other 2.

superior? to who? lucas? sosa is still wet behind the ears when compared to lucas & I'm not even a huge fan of Matthysse......Matthysse has had wins against peterson (i gave him the zab & alexander fights) Provodnikov, u name it. the guy has beaten much better fighters then fortuna sosa & walters themselves.. peterson alone trashes anything walters or sosa have done by A large. & by the time postol fought lucas he was ranked much higher then postol.....in fact i think postol was the under dog.

            go to sleep........

Ward has not lost a boxing match since he was 12 years old. He won gold at the Olympic Games in Athens, 2004, and he is undefeated as a professional, with a record of 31-0. At 168lbs, he won the Super Six Tournament and defeated popular quality opponents like Froch, Kessler, Abraham, etc. He lated moved up to 175lbs and defeated Kovalev, the undefeated king of the division, in a close fight. Ward has a lot of haters, but it would be unfair to not have him as the P4P number 1. His accomplishments are just insane.

                2: Roman Gonzalez
46(38)-0. His record is not just great quantity-wise, but also quality-wise, with good wins like Cuadras and Estrada. His accomplishments are not on par with Ward's, but to have anyone other than Ward above him would just feel wrong. Gonzalez deserves to be the P4P number 2.

                3: Sergey Kovalev
Kovalev has lethal power, which sadly cost one of his opponents his life. He punches extremely hard and while he does not have the most impressive wins in the world, it is still very impressive how he could dominate fighters like Hopkins (past it), Cleverly, Agnew, Pascal (past it), etc., and while he did lose to Ward, he gave him the hardest fight of his career and a lot of people even think that Kovalev won the fight. I disagree on that, but we can probably all agree that a rematch would be awesome. Until (and if) Kovalev defeats Ward (or Stevenson), then he deserves a nice spot as the P4P number 3.

                4: Vasyl Lomachenko
Yeah, people has been poking a lot of fun at his loss to Salido, but there certainly was a lot of controversy during that match. In only 8 professional fights, Lomachenko has already defeated talented opponents like Walters, Russell Jr and Tatakhun, due to his insane skills and speed. As an amateur, he had an amazing record of 396-1 and won gold at the Olympic Games (twice), the world championship (twice) and the European championship. While Lomachenko is not yet as profesionally tested as Ward, Gonzalez or Kovalev, he certainly looks worthy of the P4P number 4 to me.

                5: Terrence Crawford
Crawford is undefeated in 29 matches and possess both power, speed, stamina, offensive skills and defensive skills. He's a very solid and balanced fighter and has two impressive wins against Gamboa and Postol, both undefeated and respected fighters at the time he fought them. I don't think Crawford's best win (Postol) is better than Lomachenko's best win (Walters), which is the only thing keeping me from putting Crawford above Lomachenko, but their spots could easily change at any moment. Crawford fits as the P4P number 5.

Notable mentions: Pacquiao (but past it), Golovkin (but his best win is Brook), Canelo (but he needs to move up), Fury (but he is too inactive).

Personally, I think that Golovkin needs a big increase in opposition quality before I can place him in the top 5. He has not fought anyone like the guys Lomachenko and Crawford has fought.
