Rarely is a mandatory challenger the number 1 guy across all organisations but those organisations still allow him to challenge for the titles, it saves the non-ideal situation of a champion losing and keeping some belts.

I remember when that clown Hopoate was stripped of his Aussie Heavyweight title when he lost to a journeyman in a non-title fight.

the title was not at stake..... as-in, the other guy couldn't win it..... but their rules are, the champion is stripped if he loses a fight regardless

Are there people dead certain on Gassiev winning ? Lebedev is the bookies favourite too. I think Gassiev takes it, but can't see how anyone could be certain. Gassiev's only defence is his offence, the bet is on his chin taking what Lebedev's going to land on him (only thing certain is that Lebedev WILL land), and Lebedev's chin not taking what Gassiev will land on him. Only reason I think Gassiev takes it as he hits like a truck and even Lebedev can't take it, but Lebedev needs to be hit my a few trucks before he stops throwing.

Fight is Gassiev's bombs vs Lebedevs chin. If Lebedevs chin wins, Lebedev wins.

Hopefully the WBA won't grant this. It would be terrible for boxing to have a newly established unification of belts ended because of such bull****. Lebedev is my fav cruiserweight but I don't want him to hold onto one of his belts should he lose to Gassiev.

Ryabinsky is such a worm...lol! If the WBA allows this they might as well just fold. They are losing credibility with each poor decision they have been making the last few years. To allow this would just make things worse.
