If Garcia beats Thurman will he take his rightful place among top 10 p4p in the sport

Danny Garcia has the best resume of any fighter under the age of 30

he is not pretty, doesnt score a lot of knockouts, but gets the job done

I have a ton of respect for him. Yes he has won some close fights, like herrera and Peterson but he also has dealt with a variety of styles which will reflect not having shut out performances

Danny hasnt been protected in his career so calling the guy a cherrypicker is a huge disservice to him. he has been in their with more world champions than more lauded fighters like Terrance crawford, Loma, GGG, KOv and Ward.

Thurman is undefeated and holds a major title....once again dANNY will be the underdog....if he beats thurman, he pushes someone out of the pound for pound and takes his rightful place

For sure, same thing applies to Thurman.

If Thurman wins, he's got back-to-back signature wins over two prime, top level fighters in Porter and Garcia.

If Danny wins, he adds Thurman to his already solid resume.

No question the winner breaks into the top 10, anywhere between 7-10.

I favor thuman, but thurman also has not been hurt to the head and body....garcia throws solid shots both areas and has a good chin and recovery power

Also I could see Thurman getting clipped pulling out with his hands down like he often does.

Not sold on Thurmans durability...he gets hurt to the body in all his fights vs top 15 types and his defense depends on his lateral movement and headmovement

im so pumped for this one.

If i bet money i'd bet on Danny...im not betting against him again until he loses. Just one of those Holyfield types....good at everything great at nothing, great counter lefthook, great chin and lion heart

This is true I also think Thurman is soft in the body and Danny does look strong at 147.

Nope. Not even close. He needs to KO1 Thurman, and then beat Crawford, Pacquiao, Brook, Bradley, and then go up and beat Canelo, GGG, and Sutherland.

And then maybe. Like maybe #9.

At the beginning of the year we were all largely apathetic about the p4p list but it looks like the competition to be on the list is heating up.
