Kovalev needs to beat that body from the start. Don't headhunt. Go for broke to the body. Make Ward crumple. He hurt Ward with a left hook to the liver in round 12. WAR KRUSHER.

Both of them will be familiar with each other now and will know what to expect to a certain extent.

It will come down to who can sucessfully make adjustments and add new wrinkles.

Well if he did, then why didn't he get the decision victory? You are stating opinions and not facts. While true, many may agree that he out boxed Ward but he still didn't get the decision. Moreover, according to the three official judges at ringside whose opinions that actually count all said he didn't and that is not to even mention the millions of others who watched the same fight who all disagreed he didn't also.

How in the **** will Kovalev be more confident? He lost like 6 or 7 of the last 8 rounds. In a row. Yes he was in those rounds and didn't get dominated, but he lost them. Aside from the 2nd rd KD it was a bad fight for Kovy.

Ward will be far more confident going into the rematch. Ward is younger and has a much better blueprint of what ACTUALLY works instead of how to score an early KD and not land another significant punch in the entire fight. Ward has the advantage big time in the rematch.

You are riding the D extra hard if you think Ward won 6 of the last 7 rounds

Whoa, calm down there fella! What is with you? I don't have a dog in this race. I could have cared less who won or loss this fight. Although, I did predict a Kovalev knockout before the fight.

All I am saying is that while most may agree that Sergei had done enough to out box Ward for the decision victory, however there are millions more who believed he didn't do enough or that the fight at best should have been ruled a draw. It was just that close and is worthy of a rematch.

This was not a landslide victory or dominating performance on either fighter's behalf. They both have room for some major improvements. Besides, the fight was boring and ****** anyway.
