The numbers are what was expected. Problem is, RocNation took a hit with thier 5mil guarantee that they paid Ward and now Ward is talking about how he wants even more for the rematch which I dont see how its possible without RNS taking ANOTHER loss.Last edited by Deevel916; 11-29-2016, 07:33 PM.Comment

You're probably right. Point I was trying to make is that the promoters take about half of what the ppv buys generate.Comment

Who cares about US PPV? Its all about the foreign spectators now! America is so brainwashed they would rather watch 2 guys in speedos roll around on the ground sweating all over each other flexing their muscles... did I say in speedos?
.. and when an MMA Fighter stands up toe to toe and throws punches, a boxing enthusiast, such as myself, laugh at their form and technique and say to myself, "Why are they so good at wrestling, grappling, submissions, etc, but can't for the life of them throw a basic jab with some pop to it?"
Sorry, got carried away!Comment

Steve Kim:
Doing the math, if you multiply the number of buys (160-large) by the pay-per-view price (near $70 for the high definition broadcast) and divide that by half (as the cable/satellite companies get their cut), you get a total of $5.6 million, which I assume is split by the two companies to pay their fighters (so each side gets right around $2.8 million, from this part of the equation).
You can draw your own conclusions from here on how each company did.Comment
