Ward is not Pfp #1, overrated fighter

To understand this to have to look at the way Ward fights and the way he wins. The guys is not decimating his foes like some of the ATG would. He beat kessler and Froch with boring pot shotting holding and headbutting type tactics.

Was sugar ray robinson beating his rivals by narrow margins like this??? Even SRL would beat the berreras and the allan greens of the world, o don't forget about Brand who Ward tried to put away and couldn't.

I'm not saying Ward isn't a great fighter. I was skeptical of ward before his fight with Kovalev and now I just don't see any way this guy can be in ATG discussions. The fashion in which he beat Froch and Kessler ws not impressive at all, just meh.

Ward doesn't have a deep offensive game, his victories are not dominate. At no point in Wards career was he dominating guys like CRAWFORD and LOMCHENkO, fact.

It's as if his fans keep making these strange narratives to defend that Ward is a great fighter. He's a good defensive fighter and can be hard to hit, has a nice jab but that's it.

Look at what Roman, Crawford, loma, ggg, kovalev and compare what they do to their opponent to what ward does.

Yeah I agree, Ward's an ok/alright fighter, that's the best I can say about him. I never liked Floyd, he's been horrible for the sport (the safety-first tactics) but even I can admit that Floyd was a great boxer when he boxed in the pocket. Ward is not, he's average and a bit of a hype job.

Exactly, and when people compare andre to floyd I am completely shocked. Floyd has way more skills and can/could land a straight power right when he needed. Floyd is miles ahead of Andre relative to their divisions of course

I think this is wrong. You are simply comparing two good defensive fighters in Andre Ward and willie pep when they are completely different stylistically, the only similarity is the fact they don't get hit a lot. Pep made people miss by a mile and threw counters from distance like Floyd. Ward likes to hold, head butt and slow down momentum the entire fight. Landing JUST enough to win rounds. He lost to kovalev with **** activity and couldn't control the ring, and a lot of his best wins he fought the same.

I'm not ****** enough to buy that "I'm not criticizing" preface, when it's followed by paragraphs of hate. You shouldn't be ****** enough to have expected me to buy it either. Come on now.
