Signs you don't know **** about boxing:

1. Saying dumb stuff like Kovalev clinched and held Ward to prevent Ward from clinching and holding.

Kovalev grabbed Ward whenever he came inside grabbing and grappling.

2. Expecting a grown man to act like he lost after being declared the winner.

Fair enough. But since the fight, Ward hasn't merely acted like he won. He's also claimed to be the #1 P4P. And he's announced that the rematch is going to be hard for Kovalev to negotiate. It now seems clear that Ward is going to make a lowball offer in order to avoid getting back in the ring to face more of that nasty Kovalev jab.

3. You can't make a post without saying something racist or borderline racist.


Wouldn't life be refreshing if not every statement was either "racist" or being accused of such? You're just adding to the noise.

4. You call a close fight robbery/a gift because you disagree with the decision.

The judges handed out a major freebie to Ward. Merry early Christmas. But really, the crappy judges didn't do him any favors. Crappy decisions aren't good for anyone. They leave a stank on the "winner" unless he delivers a timely rematch. And as I mention above, Ward is looking to wriggle out of a rematch.

Neither Kellerman nor Lederman are official judges. They are paid analysts/commentators which means they are paid to give their opinions. Watching a fight doesn't mean you're qualified to judge one. The 3 judges have over 1600 bouts between them but now they're biased?
This was an extremely close fight so it isn't surprising that many people saw Kovalev as the winner but being extremely close also means that Ward winning is not unbelievable or a robbery. What is ridiculous is people constantly coming up with conspiracy theories and excuses every time a decision goes against their opinion.

I never once thought robbery, it was a close fight, if I thought ward deserved the win I'd say it, I never said the judges were all of a sudden biased they were that already, and you can bet your a$$ that wasnt the first time they judged based on their emotions and how the live crowd reacted when their favourite jabs the underdogs gloves ,ward won coz of the judges decision? yes, questionable judging? Yes, 1600 fights between them or not lol do you think that means they ain't biased or can't have errors in their judgment? Well that was a ****** argument coz history has a million cases of bad judging, and getting on the judges d!ck$ to try prove a point is pretty lame

Notice how Ward fans trot out every Cliche in the book

It was close fight, could go either way.

He snatched a victory from jaws of defeate.

He won every round in second half, even ones Kov beat him on compustat.

I mean, I don't know how anyone truly thinks Ward won this fight, I mean it's pretty clear.

After years of hearing people say you have to beat the champ, they'll say that's bunk and never been true.

They now say accuracy is a scoring guideline. Ok, throw 4 punches, land 3, you're an all time great then, just run in circles.

There is no way Ward deserved the win, and I don't for one second believe Ward doesn't know this. I'll tell you this, people complaining Ward is treated unfair are just blindly following the piper.

Given that Kovalev did actually win (whatever the judges said), a Russian saying Kovalev won actually sounds less biased than an American saying Ward won (whether they are a judge or not).

Russian judges giving biased scores for Russian boxers will be no greater a sin than American judges giving biased scores for American fighters. Both are equally bad for the sport.

All these fights need judges who are from different countries than the combatants. It wouldn't stop the bias (eg got a feeling a Ukrainian judge would either be biased FOR the Russian or against him, depending on where in the Ukraine they are from). Solution: Canadians ! We all know they are the nicest people on the planet (no I'm not Canadian nor married to one (and so forced to say that)).
