    The Kellerman/Walters post fight interview

Man that was cringe worthy. I mean the question pretty much had to be asked, so I don't fault Max at all. But still, man. Between the boos raining down and watching Walters try his best to explain why he quit -- it was tough to watch.

And did anybody notice Arum in the background? He was right behind Walters during the entire duration of the interview and had this huge grin on his face the entire time... lol wtf was that?

Yeah, when do you see Bob stand behind the loser who is also the lesser draw, especially given how he quit like he did?

It's easier to say what he should have said now, but if I were Walters I would have saved the inactivity excuse and said something along the lines of...."By the end of round 7 I saw that I was being outclassed and had nothing for him. Figured I pack it and go back to the drawing board to be able to box another day".

He did say that it would have been ****** for him to come out after round 7. He just could have worded it better and left the excuses out.

He's being criticized because he gave up without even appearing to be hurt. Yes he was being outclassed in every sense of the word, but its not as if he was dropped, cut, etc.... He seemed desperate to get out of that fight!

Kellerman is just an awful interviewer. He totally railroads the interviewee with his novel-length questions. Keep it simple Max ffs

Lmao I agree, especially when he's interviewing foreign, non-english speaking fighters

I mean I know they got an interpreter but jeezus dude, making a five second question into a five minute question is bound to just confuses the **** out of these dudes

I meant to make a thread about the post fight interview but not on this topic though.

Prior to the fight, HBO's crew mentioned how Walters was out of the ring a year trying to get the best deal possible for the fight. The word around here was that he was pricing himself out.

But did anyone notice Walters said something along these lines: I haven't fought in a year and you guys kept him busy.

He made it sound as if HBO was doing him dirty behind the scenes or something.
