Gonzales at #1 is based on opinion as well. The entire P4P ranking system is just opinion

Pound for pound should be based on resume. Not who is the most skilled or who you like the most. If skills were the only thing needed to be #1 then Rigo would always be number 1, if it were based on who we like the most (like some of you GGG fanboys are doing) then Ocscar Valdez would be number 1 Haha!!... simmer down nerds, the Valdez line was said in jest.

He lost officially, but that doesn't make him clearly better in my eyes, and I am not alone on that. I can accept someone scoring the fight for Ward, but I consider Kovalev the better fighter. Ward is not in my top 3 no. He hasn't seen my top 5 since he went inactive.

I see now that Chocolatico is overpraising himself asking for PBC type money HBO want to move him out of the top spot...

RJJ has always been a big Ward fan boy. That's what made him admitting Ward lost to Kovalev all the more telling. Even Ward fans like him know it. I don't think Ward is even in the top 10 after that performance. Outside of the jab and grab he got thoroughly outboxed and hurt in four different rounds. No one else would be getting so much love for such a bad performance but there's a big bias for American fighters and someone who was supposed to be so good. People can't admit how badly he did because they were convinced he was such a good boxer, that they have to view everything from that lens. So even when Kovalev outlanded him inside many exchanges, they just said "well Ward is a great inside fighter, and the fight is happening inside, so he automatically must be dominating."

Expectations are blinding people. Ward did not look like a top 10 pound for pound fighter last week.

I know, so when Mayweather was #1, you disagree? Or who would?
