    Loma's best weapon - I think it's his pity pat throw-away punches

In boxing in order to beat a faster fighter, you have to throw with them.

Vasil is keenly aware of that so he is throwing these throw-away shots to see if you'll try to counter them and go on top and by doing that he is in great balance to defend and counter your counters. When you stop reacting to his throw-away punches then he steps in and hits you hard.

I don't think I've seen anybody else do that.

It just a more active version of what Rigo does when he throws slow feints and waits for the opponent to try step in so he can counter....

TBH I view it as a flaw and that lead left tap comes back a bit slow for my liking.... He'll be caught over the top of it sooner rather than later

He's a lot of fun to watch. I love it when he slaps the glove away and connects with his other hand. I've never seen anybody do that, although you would think somebody surely has in the sport's history.

His punching-while-turning sequences are definitely his best weapon.

He has a unique style and does things that work very well for him that just about no other boxer does. It's amazing how much better he seems to get with every fight and how many different skills he has. As long as he stays at or near 130 I don't think anyone can beat him.

Rigo does complete fakes, it's different. Loma is actually throwing to connect with a lot of these throw-away punches. They all try to achieve the same goal but they use different ways. Loma is very unique in many of the things that he does.

Not the way Loma does it. I mean sometimes 60% of his punches could be tap, throw-away punches. That's what he did with Walters.

Those pity patty keep an opponent guarded and not throwing and sets them up for bigger shots

Loma's best trait is his footwork and varied attack

His turns are the most eye-catching shots but he isn't always successful with it and he doesn't use it that much against other southpaws. Even against Walters if you pay attention how many times he turned and actually connected on Walters, the % is not very high because Walters was pivoting to his right or trying to counter Loma on the turns. Is it a great weapon when it works, absolutely but it's not his bread and butter.
