Yup! I second that. Dude didn't even look hurt at all. Roberto Duran is an ALL-TIME Great but most ppl know him more as "No MAS" then anything else he's done in the ring.

How do you give up your 0 like that? He's supposed to be a fighter. He's supposed to be a warrior. He was supposed to do whatever he took to win. Loma showed himself to be 2 classes above, but you don't go out like that. No way no how.

When you quit in a fight where you never take any real risk to turn the fight around, you're going to hear about it and deservedly so. Too much can and has happened in a boxing ring for Walters to get a pass for that quit job.

Disappointed with the way the fight went too.

But as Doug Fischer said before the fight, '..you don't get better by not fighting...', and could flip that to '...you get better by fighting...'.

The inactivity was a question coming into the fight, and it was always the case that he was going to have to be on his A game to compete with Loma, and turns out he wasn't.

Note that if he had two interim fights, he wouldn't have had the chance to put on all the weight during the inactivity either, so he would have improved and also not been damaged by the weight swing.

Not apologising for him, no-one forced him to pig out on his mama's bammies, and I doubt he would win even with his A game, but the questions about the inactivity coming into the fight were spot on.

I'd like to see him redeem himself by getting it on with Miura.

(I called his weight gain before the fight 'Duranesque', interesting that we also got a Duranesque ending)

He didn't get heated. I was expecting him to go off.
