boxing will be just fine. we go thruogh this dry spell every now and then. UFC is fun to watch, but you must remember it is a very differnt sport boxing. comparing them is not very fair. and i'll list a few reasons.
            1. boxers have way more stamina (12 3min rounds) and the best of them still throw and bounce around in the twelfth
            2. ufc guys have poor ring generalship (from waht i have seen so far from the best out there.)
            3. the best ufc fighters are usually the better strikers, once you avoid a take down and counter submissions(not easy of course but chuck liddel does it all the time with minimal ring movement)
            4. (i think this is the ufc fighters archilles heel) They have very very poor defencesive skills.

now a fight is a fight dont get me wrong. a clean bare nuckle punch will lay almost anyone out, but i just cant see a ufc fighter in the later rounds against a boxer.

Good man. those are the only good sports of today. Football and boxing are tied for my favorite sports. Die hard fan of both.

IMO PPV has ruined boxing and damaged it a lot, people just see the promos and say "I wish I could watch, its on PPV oh well" they're used to missing boxing matches now, it ***ing sucks but noway will UFC do as much harm to boxing as they say.. I never liked UFC i only watch boxing and soccer, but boxing is my fav..

I know. If people at least recognized the names then they might think about PPVing it. Everybody at my school was talking about De La Hoya-Mayorga, but nobody gives a crap about Hopkins-Taylor.

I still find it funny that so many of you got upset over a promoter hyping his event... as if Dana White (the bald guy) is only half the douchebag Don King is when it comes to this. Besides, it is not about mma replacing boxing as much as being on a similar level, wich, in terms of ppv numbers, it is doing pretty damn good for a young sport.
