I can't say that because this wasn't like last week where Ward had a plan on how he could take the win and executed, this was a guy who was lost in the water. No need for added punishment when the result would always be the same. Even if he made it 12 he might not be the same taking punches he could've avoided.

He wasn't paid to quit. He was paid to fight, but was outclassed by one of the best boxers to come along in a long time. That is why he quit. He would have been dropped in the very next round.Comment

"I didn't quit, I just didn't want to come out and take any more."
WTF? How can he say that with a straight face?Comment

Maybe his confusion is with what the word 'quit' means. I don't like harassing fighters for quitting but it is what it is.Last edited by BrometheusBob.; 11-27-2016, 07:54 AM.Comment

Walters cost himself millions in career earning. If he stuck it out and eventually lost by decision or knockout.. he'd still get some big fights... but now I'm not sure...

I dont get it-all the hate that Walters is getting now. Unlike some other "idiots" he has been smart enough to realise he has no chance against his opponent and its better to stay healthy and not to take unnessecary punishment in a fight you cant win anyway. Some other idiot would continue to fight but he dont because he is smart. He got owned, thats it. Deal with it.Comment

Walters you did quit and this is coming from a fan of yours. The inactivity, taunting and outboxing from Loma proved too much for him. His corner was pathetic last night, very disorganized. If he had an experience corner behind him he probably would have continued. We haven't seen the last of Walters, he will get another shot at another title or well known fighter.Comment
