I dont get it-all the hate that Walters is getting now. Unlike some other "idiots" he has been smart enough to realise he has no chance against his opponent and its better to stay healthy and not to take unnessecary punishment in a fight you cant win anyway. Some other idiot would continue to fight but he dont because he is smart. He got owned, thats it. Deal with it.

Loma should redeem himself by revenging his lost against Salido before calling out Vargas or even dreaming fighting Pacman.

He LITERALLY spent the interview describing what a quitter is lol

Walters should be fined and investigated, leading to a possible 12 month ban. I highly odubt he will get a genuine top class opportunity after this.

That is an outright embarrassing thing to say and makes me lose a lot of respect for Nicholas Walters. What a terrible mindset. "I wasn't doing well and got my ass kicked in that round, so I shouldn't keep fighting. Even though there's half the fight left to go."

              Shameful attitude.

lol So when the going gets tough, quit. Why even get involved in a physical sport like boxing with that attitude.

                  Walter's would have been destroyed

Walter's stared down at the abyss and saw the inevitable. A savage beating and possible career ending loss. He didn't quite the way casual fans may think, he accepted the harsh reality he had nothing to offer lomanchenko in terms of skill. He could of hold for 5 more rounds I suppose...

First page is full of suckers. It makes no sense to keep fighting with no plan or thought of how you could actually win. Its just taking punishment to do so and hoping you land a lucky punch. That it not boxing. He fought out his round, made it to his corner and decided this wasn't his night. If his corner didn't think to stop it for him he was right to do it for himself. But I guess none of you guys learned from Absalamov.

Very disappointed with Walters. I rarely criticise fighters for retiring but this was different. This is going to overshadow his career until he hangs them up. Lomachenko had a big 7th round but Walters was getting outboxed rather than beaten up. He didn't even do that badly in the 6th.
