Literally all he had to do was give one more round where he put his caution aside and gave a good go of it. If that doesn't work no one blames him for quitting. Instead he gave up after the very first round where Lomachenko really put it on him. Considering everything that can and has happened in boxing, I don't think this quit job is defensible. He never went out there and really tried to grab hold of the fight.
Fair enough, I can see that side of the argument, of course. It was a calculated move, he could see it only going one way obviously. But maybe at least for the paying fans, he should have had one round going all out.

Loma was just too white, too fast, too slick.

Not legit injuries. I'm talking about someone who hasn't taken any real damage, isn't gasping for breath, isn't significantly slowing, hurt, or injured.

Who else has just said, "Hey bro, I gotta head out now" because he was losing?
I don't know why you are saying he wasn't hurt.

He didn't know where he was in the ring in the 7th. Turned with his back , didn't the ref have to turn him around? He eat some big shots that upper cut snapped his head back. Look at his eyes.

The KO was coming Rocky Martinez style.

I think people are still sleeping on Lomas power myself included.

First off he wasn't comI ting on any shots in the first 5 rounds, and when he hits you he hits with a lot of shots and with shots you don't see coming. He doesn't need one punch KO power to take guys out.

to me recoloation there has been no fighter who just been outboxed and quit without being winded, damage or anything.

people will say duran and the no mas fight but that wasnt really the same imo, lenoard wasnt fully engaging with duran he was being cute picking his spots etc. Lomachenko was fully engaging with walters jsut walters could do absolutely nothing with it even duran landed something back but walters nothing at all.

Zab Judah vs Khan... faked a low blow and stayed down for the count, then tried to play it off.

He really fked over the fans that night. Can you imagine spending a few grand to fly out there for the week to see that happen?
That's exactly how I felt... Would have given him benefit of doubt if hopkins didn't have a history of it

Imagine JCCjr quitting against Martinez or Vargas against Bradley.
Pride is what kept them going and you can't down them for it.

To some extent, JMM vs PAC 1

The round where Loma stood in front of NW, and they both really did nothing but look at each other i think made NW feel embarrassed. He just looked genuinely ashamed, it was a gamesmanship kind of a thing where he looked at Walters like you're getting outclassed, you have nothing for me...what are you gonna do? Just shell up? I think that was when the fight ended.

                      I'm sorry.

I will forever herald Ortiz/Maidana as the largest I've seen. Yes, even over Duran. Because Duran was just getting embarrassed, so a quit was expected. No quit was expected from Ortiz after he knocked Maidana down. It was straight up shocking.

Yet, Crawford got beat up on this board for doing the exact same thing against Postol. When Loma does it, it's brilliant. When Crawford does it, it's boring. Funny how that works.
